I watched 'Gifted Hands' with dad this morning. Was supposed to head down to school at daybreak, but decided to sleep in three times. When I woke up I decided to partake in some spiritual nourishment by watching a feel-good film haha. It was really inspiring, and part of me wishes I had the opportunity to do the rags-to-riches thing to as dramatic an extent as the film portrayed it. I really do root for the underdogs, all the time. I suspect it's because the concept of the underdog is something I personally identify with.

The day was wasted, from an objective standpoint. Made no significant progress on my IS though I was supposed to. Have come to the unfortunate truth that there is nothing of value in NLB with regards to my IS though. Closes off one research avenue. I blew quite a lot of money on dinner, which was the foodie's dream of raiding the basement for sinful junk to chow down on. Lots of oil and salt and sugar clogging my arteries now, but heck. It was worth it haha. And the slightly drunken (apparently I don't even need rum and raisin) dinnertime conversation which involved a lot of trash talking. It felt good going on and on no holds barred.

Today was one of those rare snapshots in time that you are able to capture. The hours flitted by just like that, and it was really, really fun. It's time to switch modes though. Tomorrow will involve the same places as well, just very, very differently.
