1. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
2. I will respond by asking you 5 questions of a personal nature.
3. You will update your blog with the answers to the questions.
4. You will include this and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
5. When others comment asking to be interviewed you will ask them 5 questions.
Questions from the infamous Charisse Tay of all people goodgod. :D :D :D
INTERPRET FREELY :D
1. What do you look for in a life partner? Which mind you, is rather different from, well, anything else.
My life partner, huh.
Err, we ought to act as foils for each other. By logical extension completely girly types aren't my type because as nictan will attest, I have a stunning lack of male ego and whatnot. Also, suitably extroverted I suppose.
She/he should be immensely understanding+tolerant, due to the many character flaws I imagine myself having.
Unpredictable, not in terms of temperament, but the little surprises that keep things going I suppose. (:
Intelligence I suppose, not to be elitist or anything.
The ability to provide some kind of security, having your heart perennially on the verge of being torn out isn't very healthy, and i want to live a longggg time.
2. What are your thoughts on/about your current leadership positions in school? And also about the kind of support you're getting from the school community?
I know what I want to do for debate, most definitely. I do what I do in the hope that I can help mold my juniors, or help inspire them in whatever way possible. Leadership in school's essentially middle management, you've to respect the bigshots and be nice to those you're leading, etc. Especially in Council. Its crazy tough taking flak like the Japanese PMs are (on a bad day), though shucks I can't express my gratefulness enough for all the opportunities that've come my way. Not only for my portfolio, because that ceased to be an issue long ago, but the friends memories and all, sheesh.
Sometimes I feel like I'm this giant overinflated balloon and it gets really distressing when I think about the eventuality of people realising that I'm really not all that awesome. Support from the school community largely takes the form of a select few good friends who share in pretty much all my woes and grandiose plans. Immensely thankful for them and everyone else. Its mostly iSpark to be honest, though I've awesome friends everywhere xD
Always get incoherent when answering questions like these, haha.
3. What is your deepest darkest fear and what would you do/have you done to avoid being confronted with it?
Rejection. Wasn't exactly Mr Popular back in primary school, reverting to the phatuglysocialreject that I once was.
Honestly I wouldn't do anything to avoid it. If it comes it comes, me sees no point in putting on a facade or anything. Because honestly, in my case, it'd just make things worse. (veiling yourself doesn't work, I figured in drama auds back in p4) One lie leads to another, so.
4. Is there anything in your life that you have the power to drastically change/affect but that you haven't actually tried to do so? And why?
My grades.
Lazy.
Rafflesian dominance in Scrabble
Soon.
Rafflesian dominance in debates
I choose to believe.
Non-academic intellectual pursuits
Computer games.
5. What is the most humiliating thing that happened to you and how did it change your life or character, if applicable?
I regularly humiliate myself on a regular basis! Ask Zicong, or anything. I'm a big walking joke and I laugh at myself :D
One specific incident, err.
Some inter-GEP centre Chinese Competition. In front of the entire cohort, ahaha. Was supposed to fill in some chengyu, which went 'kai1men2jian4_____'
Obvious answer's shan1, but being bad at Chinese like I still am, i answered 'kai1men2jian4gui3', and burst out laughing.
It taught me not to make lame jokes in public.
(5th June 2011: as things worked out, i went on to make more and more and more lame jokes in public. ohwell, didn't post this because it was fairly candid. i think.)
