The die is cast.

This isn't a concession of being overburdened, because I never was and never will be.

Or at least, I choose to delude myself so.

Essentially, I've crossed the point of no return. I don't like being in this precarious position, not one bit. I like being backed-up by lots of things. I take desperate gambles when I've nothing left, but otherwise I choose not to gamble at all.

But it makes me feel bad. After all, it'll never be first in my heart, rather a backup of sorts. As such I'll never be able to commit fully to its cause. Rather than continuing to drag it I've decided to terminate it.

Eitherways this conclusion would have arose sooner or later. I apologise to all the hardcore fanatics of the Corps, but I can't stay any longer.

I've quit NCC. Officially.

Which means I'll have more time to spend on other things, or it essentially means that I'm free and I'll idle my life away.

The teachers warn against overcommitment, they warn against being a jackofalltrades. Essentially I've reweighed my options, I've selected what's my best bet and I've to live with it.

Even though debate isn't exactly the strongest of footholds I like it a lot and thus will stick with it I suppose. Will have more time for debate and council now such a timeleech is gone.

A crazy one at that.

I deserve a good night's sleep after two whole insane days.
