MAXX. I'm the third here.... =(
Nevertheless I will try to debunk those fallacious (inherently) counterarguments that my dear senior max, who happens to be a SECOND SPEAKER (a very good one at that), has mercilessly put forth to uh... try to shatter my confidence, and uhhh, cause panic attacks, but little beyond that.

max: HAHAHA. sigh, i cant wait to see CCA laugh like the idiot he is (CCA if you see this, im kidding, kidding.) over my puns and insinuations in training =)
I'm missing that kind of laughter too, i remember THAT maniacal saturday when we were bent over double for 99/100ths of it, hahaha.

max: oh and LiKi, defend your case! "...the RELATIVE EASE AND SLACKNESS of Sec2...beneficial to the overall Council."...hmm, how exactly is the Sec2s slacking off going to be beneficial to iCouncil?
EXACTLY.
Well, the root cause of the Sec2s being much less busy and thus more at ease is because they aren't getting the workload they should, but this will change under the structural redeployment that will be put into place. And you haven't shown the causative link between the two, you have casually omitted many, many things in between your two cleverly chosen quotes. The former describes the status quo, the latter describes the effect of the redeployment. But the way you phrase it...
How is the relative ease and slackness of Sec2s beneficial to the overall council?
Which justifies my policy in the first place.

max: obviously, Sec 2s slacking off will result in "batch-suicide". wont it cause a deterioration in quality of that particular batch! and increased Sec2 EXCO-ship? how many Sec 2s are actually in EXCO...?
They won't be given an opportunity to slack off, with the additional workload. And working with the mindset that Sec3s won't slack, and that they can do much MUCH better won't help either. The Sec2/Sec1 iCITs need more exposure, and languishing under the guidance of their seniors, who would dominate naturally, would make them unnaturally affixed to stereotypes. However, if they are as a result of necessity made to do the work, they will gain the relevant experience and match up well against their seniors.

max: and on your next point, sir. its great that you're having both long and short-term initiatives! but should you not hit the ROOT of the problem instead, which is improving the feedback channels?
Improving the feedback channels has been a tried, tested, and failed method. Forums have been tried, the word of mouth too, but still there isn't much. And also, feedback channels aren't the root of the problem, because the initiatives can only be commented on by those who go for them, and students may and will lack the initiative to put forth their feedback, especially true of the Sec1s.

max: 3rd point of contention! will having "equipment" for loan not inadvertently develop a wrong mindset amongst the student populace? they'll just borrow ties without bothering to buy their own, etc. hmm?
This one's valid I guess, I don't think it can be offered for ties/calculators/dictionaries, but sports equipment can still be considered. After all, you can't really expect 300 iSparkians having their own soccer ball each.
Yup, I will edit this, thanks a lot Max.

max: same goes for sports equipment, calculators and dictionaries. i can just imagine students rushing to borrow dictionaries before the composition exams...a negative culture of dependency, sir! =P
Please put forth your criticisms so I can improve, thanks!
