Well, Projects Day is over at last. Surely I cannot be faulted for group dynamics when the people don't want to cooperate.
I seriously don't feel like flaming anyone, if THAT person happens to be reading this...
Right, so a brief summary of PROJECTS DAY.
Sec 2 iSpark seniors aren't that all nice, I've good reason to believe the best're in 2L and it simply degenerates from there. During PE I simply poached a stray ball and started dribbling it back to the Sec2s. Some AP senior yelled, "WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM LA F***ER!"
Heh, great. I passed the ball to him.
"WALAO (insert swear word) WHY YOU NEVER HEAR ME ARH"
"I did...?"
"THEN WHY YOU NEVER LISTEN? WHAT DID I SAY?"
"You told me to stop...?"
"Right, WHY DIDN'T YOU LISTEN, WANT TO FIGHT ISSIT."
Then he scowled and cursed and fled the area.
I still prefer 1M/1N people, and 2L seniors.
I mean, who can resist t3h BENJY. X)
Along with so many imba iCouncil seniors, HEH.
Right, so we were dismissed at 11.20. Headed over to our Poster Booth to spice it up. Precious little we could do, so we simply brushed up the suicide notes, wrote a few more and otherwise used any scrap material to adorn any space we had. It looked somewhat horrible, but ah well, heck.
The fact that there were suicide notes (penned by our dear suicidal team) was a natural thing after we saw the other groups. So elaborately adorned, with PROJECTORS AND LAPTOPS AND BEAUT PHOTOS AND OTHER CRAP. Fine, maybe not crap, but with seniors like these, no sec1's ever going to beat them. Thus there was an irrefutable NEED for extra accessories. Heh, my brainwave was to pen suicide notes. And tack them to the flimsy board. And hope for the best.
Chewy "decorated" one table with an eyesore. A total mess to convey the panic and fear, but I doubt it went down well with anyone at all X(
Well at least we understood the intricate symbolism. Wanted to take some shots of our handiwork, but we had no digicam, damn. Actually I'm quite proud of the mess, but it didn't win no nothing.
The Sec1s came to vote and we got some spillover visitors from the very first presentation, which took something like 7 minutes, leaving them no time for the rest. We didn't impress much, but we were promised votes...? In the region of 70.
Eventually only 47 fulfilled their promise and dozens defected to our IMBA neighbours.
And yeah, gratz to tyjiunn for clinching second.
I see why no sec1 group has made it to the grands before. TBDP is part of a series of movie critiques and analyses that have been tired and worn and repeated over and over. So much so it becomes advertisement, or rather argumentum ad nauseam for all the Tim Burton movies. It was dead boring.
The SL group pwnt, and the Creative Arts one was excellent. Shuliang disappointed with his qualitative analysis project. But the one sec1 group which made it, standing ovations.
It was one heck of a useless invention, Multipurposepillowcases. With drool pads, and earplugs and tissues within reach. Or rather, on the same pillowcase. The point is, droolers would slobber all over the pillow either way, unless there was a way to affix the pillow to the head. In addition, they'd sleep on their drool pads even if they drooled right spot on them. They even tried to commercialise it HAHA.
Sometimes, the crux of fusing functions is convenience, but in this case... I don't see what's so wrong about wearing eyepads, donning earplugs and changing your pillowcase daily, in addition to stashing tissues under your pillow. So much more efficient. And customizable. And so much less dorky.
Solar-powered torches can be charged in the sun, you know. X)
CL lang arts suffered from a sort of disadvantage, thanks to some judges who were from Brisbane. X/ But they were excellent and extremely funny.
The other groups were simply average.
Benjy's group was great though.
Right, so we got our trophies and stuff.
Happy culmination.
those who don't deserve don't get, the laws of life. but with startling regularity these laws are broken, unwittingly or intentionally.
And the nightmare of the year is over.
I'm in a good mood again, save for SLC.
