Okay, attempts to variegate my post types have generally met with evil mindblocks. I will shorten the length of my largely boring posts by omitting boring lessons.
Bill's post on the boring nature of my blog.... Sigh.
Now I will spend some time rebutting a certain post of Peter's. Depression
Li Ki.
Let us do an analysis of him:
Name: Ng Li Ki
Class: 1L
School: HCI
Hobbies: Scrabble, getting ACE, Blogging, getting ACE, School, getting ACE, Slacking, getting ACE, Chatting, getting ACE, Writing, getting ACE, Dreaming...
Dislikes: Homework, Projects, Slackers, Mean and nasty people, Having his thoughts restrained/constricted, Getting picked on, Being ignored, Gossipers, Computer Viruses, Competitors...
Good subjects: English, Chinese, Math, Literature, History(maybe?), IS(??)
Not so good subjects: Science, Geography(probably), Art, Music
Terrible subject: PE
Achievements in HCI (that I know): 1st for Math Quiz Training Selection Test, 1st for the first Chinese test, Debate team, passed Scrabble competition 1st round, got into Angles finals, talking a lot, 1st in second math test...
Yes, someone so strong in math would definetely provide much pressure on me. He has so far beaten me in the second math test where I scored a disgraceful, humiliating score of 90%, a drop of 12.5%, and tied for first place with me for the selection test. And that's not all, he proves to have a strong grasp of both English and Chinese, scoring high marks in both of them and even beating Gregory(in compo). And because he talks so much he gets chosen for a speaking competition.
I shall vow now to beat him in any future math tests or quizzes. Trash him down and show who's boss. Hmph, he won't stay long in my throne. MY THRONE. No one incurrs my wrath without getting revenge. *sinister laughter*
To conclude, he is strong in all these areas, but such people never stay long up there before they get pulled down. And when that happens, he will be under lots of stress like trying to plug a hundred holes in a leaking contaner with automatic drill.
I don't think I will need to quote the source. Such posts do not need to be acknowledged. Okay, Peter. I never knew you were so vocal. Nor in such blatant contempt of Mr Quek. Sacrificing 2/3 ACEs for flaming me... I'm honoured. Really I am. First, many of the points are grossly untrue.
Hobbies: Scrabble, getting ACE, Blogging, getting ACE, School, getting ACE, Slacking, getting ACE, Chatting, getting ACE, Writing, getting ACE, Dreaming...
Actually, this is almost totally fake. Let me correct it.
Hobbies: Scrabble, Blogging, Slacking, Chatting, Dreaming.
I note that you copied things from my blog and simply reedited them wholesale and re-presented them as your own version. Unscrupulous. Unoriginal. No ethics. Obvious disregard for my copyright.
Incredulous I am at your other points. I hate competitors? Since when? Have I ever told or demonstrated in any form or manner? Anyway its a trifle presumptuous of you to assume you are my competitor. Just because you are good in math.... you get the point. I have never openly acknowledged competitors. One of the most valued things I look in a competitor, declared or not, is style. Subdued humility. Meaning you don't brag about something unless someone brings it up. Where you simply put it down.
Few fit my bill. Nearly none.
Anyway, my science is inferior I admit, geog too. But watch your back...
I'm not going to rest. Because you aren't a competitor. We are of two completely different worlds. You specialise in maths and sci. I'm a languages kind of person who coincidentally has a thing for math. Two different standards, if you'll see.
I don't really like the style with which you criticised me. It will serve nothing, no purpose at all. It isn't going to affect me in the least, it gave me material to blog about, etc. etc. Anyway I think you're the only person in 1L who has openly declared hatred for me. Or at least being depressed because I'm around. Remember Peter, I'm your IRS leader. For all groupworks so far I've been slogging while you been slacking. For IRS you gave me quite a bit of crap. For IRS prelim presentation, don't argue. The points were already written, you didn't need to use your brain.
Will not waste further time on this ridiculous comment.
*Skip*
Late for music again, nothing else much of note.
Recess was ermm....quite ok. Rushed down some food, then went to see Mr Quek and Mr B'Ong. Early release granted for history. 30 minutes early, which is saintly deliverance from boredom. Reminded of the ACM Booth again. Awaiting Mr Quek's email. I have no idea what Samuel is going to do. Sigh, had overwhelming response when I mentioned the benefits of this project to them. Jiahan especially, Jerome was very enthu too. Well... its a tough choice. But Jerome would take precedence because of AEP.
(Leaders are not here to win popularity contests)
(skip all the way)
Chinese was a disaster. We were given ANOTHER sihan. I managed to finish 2 3/4 pages in 55 minutes, around 900-1000 words? But my formatting was wrong.... xD as was half the class.
Lectured for 25 minutes, so it was already damn late. Let me state my schedule at this point.
1.30-1.40 (bio filing)
1.40- 2.15 (Speech)
2.00-5 (scrabble)
Obvious clash... and it was already disrupted.
Gregory insisted on doing his hair with GEL. He was in the toilet admiring himself and putting gel all over and constantly reassuring me that there was still time. I was making lots of cynical remarks.
Liki: You're the vainest boy I've ever seen
Greg; Really? Then you havn't seen many boys.
Liki: Then I'm doubting your masculinity.
Greg: (ignores, does hair)
Liki: (paces up and down)
Greg: Do I look good?
Liki: Around as sexy as your mom, now lets go.
*Shrugs*
Fact: I dunno who the hell his mom is.
Then I rushed to do my bio file..... while Greg was doing his speech. Then I rushed back in a haste and I did my speech. Rather animated I think, but articulation SUCKED.
Then I rushed to the scrabble competition.
The first few moves were PRETTY close. By the fifth move I was 120 points ahead, and a few finishers silenced him. 499-150+
2 phonies of note, REDDINGS/DREDDINGS. Thats it! Miracle!
Next game was ok... this guy was supposedly a pro. Final Score read: 516-200
I phonied BAB and MOTILELY and played REJUDGES 118, PREJUDGES/CLIP 69. Sigh.
Hmm thats it I won a 30 buck Kinokuniya voucher. Sadly the ACE goes to english not LIT so I have a near empty subject and a maxed one. How cool is that!?
Siann... NCC uniform now.
I didn't watch Greg's speech, I assume it was very Caucasian as usual, as is his natural tone.
